CHAPTER VI
GOUKKEN — THE GHOST INSIDE
Sonic had a younger brother. A genius who didn't play arcade games — he dismantled them. Circuit boards, voltage testing, frame-perfect inputs. Where Sonic felt music, Goukken calculated it.
After the Feedback Event, the Syndicate took hundreds of gifted children into the Clean Slate program. Sensory deprivation. Neurochemical suppression. Memory reconsolidation. Most emerged calm, obedient, empty. Perfect Nullers.
But the program failed on Goukken. His neuroplasticity let him keep his core intact. He made the hardest choice of his life: pretend the erasure worked.
Now he lives between three identities. Cain Strider — Nuller Engineer #23 in dark robes and cybernetic eyes, calibrating Mother-Eye's sensors. Goukken — the masked drummer in a red Tengu demon mask, the unstoppable pulse of PØP V1ØLENCE. And the Executioner — faceless, behind an LED pixel mask in the Chamber of Correction.
Named after Gouken from Street Fighter — not a fighter seeking glory, but the master who builds others' strength through discipline. The foundation that holds everything together.
"I am not the beat you hear. I am the beat you feel when silence tries to erase you."
— GOUKKEN, encrypted transmission to Sonic
